Ingredients

  • 2 c. boiling water
  • 2 c. chopped potatoes
  • 1/2 c. carrot slices
  • 1/2 c. celery slices
  • 1/4 c. chopped onion
  • 1 Tbsp. chopped chives
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • dash of pepper
  • 1/4 c. margarine
  • 1/4 c. flour
  • 2 c. milk
  • 2 c. shredded sharp Cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Add boiling water to potatoes, carrots, celery, onion, chives, salt, and pepper in a pot.
  2. Cover and simmer for 10 minutes.
  3. Do not drain the vegetables after cooking.
