Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 c celery, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 c onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 (17 oz) can whole kernel corn, undrained
  • 1 (28 oz) can whole tomatoes, undrained and cut in half
  • 1 (16 oz) can sliced potatoes, undrained
  • 1 (10 1/2 oz) can chicken broth
  • 1 c water
  • 1/4 c catsup
  • 1/4 c brown sugar
  • 1 lb ham, cubed
  • 3 c cabbage, thinly sliced

Instructions

  1. In a 4-quart saucepan over medium heat, sauté celery, onion, and garlic in oil for 2 minutes.
  2. Add remaining ingredients and bring to a boil.
  3. Cover and simmer for 1 hour.
