Ingredients

  • 1 stick butter
  • 2 Tbsp chopped onion
  • 1 tsp prepared mustard
  • 1 Tbsp poppy seed
  • 1 tsp Beau Monde mix
  • loaf of unsliced French or sourdough bread

Instructions

  1. Cut the loaf of French or sourdough bread into slices, not cutting all the way through.
  2. Insert Swiss or Jack cheese between each slice.
  3. Mix butter, chopped onion, prepared mustard, poppy seed, and Beau Monde mix to create the butter spread.
  4. Spread the herb butter mixture over the bread, ensuring it gets between the slices.
  5. Wrap the bread in foil and place in a foil boat.
  6. Bake at 350°F for 25 to 30 minutes until heated through and the cheese is melted.
