Ingredients
- 1 Tbsp. olive oil ⓘ
- 1 medium white onion, thinly sliced ⓘ
- 1 lb. ripe tomatoes, chopped ⓘ
- 1 (3 lb.) fresh or canned jalapenos, seeded and minced ⓘ
- 3 c. bottled clam juice ⓘ
- 3 c. unsalted chicken broth ⓘ
- 1 tsp. dried marjoram or oregano ⓘ
- 1 lb. medium shrimp, shelled and deveined ⓘ
- 1 lime, cut into wedges ⓘ
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a pot.
- Add the sliced onion and cook until softened, about 3 minutes.
- Add chopped tomatoes and minced jalapenos; cook for 3 minutes.
- Add clam juice, chicken broth, and dried marjoram; bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Add the shrimp and simmer for about 5 minutes, until they are pink, loosely curled, and opaque.
- Serve with lime wedges.
