Ingredients

  • 6 to 8 lb. chuck roast
  • 2 sticks chopped celery
  • 3 chopped onions
  • 1 chopped green pepper
  • 24 oz. ketchup
  • 1 tsp. Tabasco sauce
  • 3 Tbsp. barbecue sauce
  • 3 Tbsp. vinegar
  • 2 Tbsp. chili powder
  • 2 Tbsp. salt
  • 1 Tbsp. pepper
  • 1 1/2 cup water

Instructions

  1. Cut the chuck roast into chunks.
  2. Put the meat into a large pan or crock-pot.
  3. Combine all ingredients in a large bowl, then pour over the meat.
  4. Heat to a boil, then cover and simmer for 6 hours or bake in the oven at 300°F for 6 hours.
  5. When the meat can be shredded apart with a fork, it's done.
  6. Shred all the meat and mix well.
