Ingredients

  • 5 lb. hamburger
  • 1 cup oats
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 teaspoon mustard seed
  • 1/2 teaspoon fennel
  • 1/2 teaspoon dill seed
  • 1/2 to 1 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Mix hamburger, oats, water, mustard seed, fennel, dill seed, and garlic powder. Let stand in the refrigerator for 2 days.
  2. Before baking, divide the mixture into about 6 tight rolls and wrap each in foil.
  3. Place the wrapped rolls in a pan so the sausage can drain as they cook.
  4. Bake at 350°F for 90 minutes.
