Ingredients

  • 16 slices sandwich bread
  • 8 slices boiled ham
  • 8 slices American cheese
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 3 cups milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 stick butter

Instructions

  1. Grease a 9 x 13-inch pan.
  2. Place 8 slices of bread in the pan; top with ham and cheese.
  3. Butter the remaining slices of bread and place on top of the cheese.
  4. Beat eggs, salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce together.
  5. Add chopped onion and milk to the egg mixture and stir.
  6. Pour the egg mixture over the bread layers in the pan.
  7. Refrigerate the assembled dish overnight.
  8. Before baking, drizzle melted butter over the top and sprinkle with crushed potato chips.
  9. Bake for 1 hour at 350°F.
  10. Let set for 15 minutes before serving.
