Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. black pepper
  • 1 Tbsp. chili powder
  • 1 Tbsp. flour
  • 16 oz. can tomatoes
  • 20 oz. can hominy
  • 1/4 lb. grated American cheese

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef in a skillet.
  2. Add chopped onions and cook until lightly browned.
  3. Stir in salt, black pepper, and chili powder.
  4. Blend the mixture well.
  5. Add flour and canned tomatoes, bring to a boil, and cook for 2 to 3 minutes.
  6. Stir in canned hominy.
  7. Pour the mixture into a 7 x 12 inch baking dish.
  8. Sprinkle grated American cheese on top.
  9. Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit until the cheese melts.
