Tips & Substitutions

For a milder flavor, reduce the cayenne pepper or omit the Tabasco sauce. You can substitute white vinegar with apple cider vinegar for a slightly sweeter taste. If you prefer a crunchier texture, add shredded carrots or radishes. This slaw can be made a day in advance to enhance its flavors, making it a perfect side for summer barbecues or with dishes like Grace's Baked Chicken.

Serving Suggestions

This Hot and Cold Slaw pairs wonderfully with grilled meats and sandwiches, making it a versatile addition to any meal. Serve it alongside BBQ dishes or as a topping for pulled pork. It also complements lighter fare, such as salads or fish tacos. For a complete meal, consider serving it with Dinner Rolls (One Of My Favorite Recipes) to soak up the flavors.

Storage & Reheating

Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. The flavors will continue to meld, making it even tastier the next day. To serve leftovers, give the slaw a good stir and enjoy it cold. If you prefer it warm, gently heat it in a saucepan over low heat, stirring occasionally.
