Ingredients

  • 3 large cloves garlic
  • 1 jalapeno pepper, cored, seeded and chopped
  • 3 ripe avocados, halved and peeled
  • 3 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • 2 plum tomatoes, seeded and chopped
  • 2 green onions, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp. Tabasco
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. black pepper
  • 2 Tbsp. chopped cilantro

Instructions

  1. Process jalapeno, garlic, and avocado in a food processor until finely chopped.
  2. Remove 1/4 of the avocado mixture from the processor.
  3. Add lemon juice to the remaining avocado mixture in the processor.
  4. Process until smooth.
  5. In a bowl, mix all of the avocado mixture with chopped tomatoes, green onions, Tabasco, salt, black pepper, and chopped cilantro.
  6. Serve as soon as possible with tortilla chips and water.
