Ingredients
- 1 1/2 lb. ground beef ⓘ
- 1/2 lb. pork sausage ⓘ
- 3/4 c. oats
- 1/2 c. tomato sauce ⓘ
- 1 egg, beaten ⓘ
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt ⓘ
- 1/2 tsp. pepper ⓘ
- 2 tsp. oregano ⓘ
- 1/2 c. Parmesan cheese ⓘ
- 10 oz. frozen chopped spinach, cooked and drained ⓘ
- 2 (16 oz.) cans baby tomatoes, drained and sliced ⓘ
- 12 oz. grated Mozzarella cheese ⓘ
Instructions
- Combine ground beef, pork sausage, oats, tomato sauce, beaten egg, salt (if using), pepper, oregano, and half of the Parmesan cheese in a bowl.
- Pack the meat mixture into the bottom and halfway up the sides of an ungreased 13 x 9-inch baking pan.
- Bake at 350°F for 25 minutes; drain excess fat.
- Spread cooked and drained spinach over the meat layer.
- Arrange drained and sliced baby tomatoes over the spinach.
- Sprinkle with remaining Parmesan cheese.
- Top with grated Mozzarella cheese.
- Bake at 350°F for an additional 15 minutes or until the cheese is golden brown and bubbly.
