Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup chopped green pepper
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • Dash oregano
  • 2 (16 ounce) cans kidney beans

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef and chopped onion in a skillet and drain excess fat.
  2. Add tomato sauce, water, chopped green pepper, chili powder, salt, pepper, and oregano to the beef mixture.
  3. Simmer the mixture for 20 minutes.
  4. Add the kidney beans to the chili and cook for an additional hour.
