Ingredients

  • 1 cup Brown Sugar, packed
  • 1 cup Margarine, softened
  • 1 Egg Yolk
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla
  • 2 cups All Purpose Flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 Egg White, lightly beaten
  • 1/4 cup Sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Cream brown sugar and margarine until fluffy.
  2. Blend in salt and flour, after blending in egg yolk and vanilla.
  3. Pat dough into an ungreased 15 x 10 x 1 inch pan.
  4. Brush the top with lightly beaten egg white.
  5. Combine sugar and cinnamon, then sprinkle evenly over the egg white.
  6. Sprinkle with almonds.
  7. Bake for 15 minutes at 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  8. Cut into 1 1/2 inch squares.
