Jan's Chicken features tender chicken breasts baked in a creamy, tangy sauce with paprika and Worcestershire, perfect for comforting family dinners or special gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 6 chicken breasts
  • 2 c. sour cream
  • 1/4 c. lemon juice
  • 4 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tsp. paprika
  • 2 tsp. celery salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1/4 c. butter, melted
  • 1/4 c. shortening, melted
  • Ritz cracker crumbs

Instructions

  1. Combine chicken breasts, sour cream, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, paprika, celery salt, and pepper in a large bowl and refrigerate overnight.
  2. Roll the marinated chicken in Ritz cracker crumbs, then place on a cookie sheet.
  3. Pour half of the melted butter and shortening mixture over the chicken.
  4. Bake in a 350°F oven for 45 minutes.
  5. Pour the remaining butter-shortening mixture over the chicken and bake for an additional 15 minutes.
