Ingredients

  • 1 stick margarine
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1 can coconut
  • 1 cup plain flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 6 oz. bag chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Line a pan with wax paper or aluminum foil.
  2. Melt the margarine in a saucepan or microwave.
  3. Add brown sugar, white sugar, coconut, flour, and baking powder to the melted margarine and mix well.
  4. Pour the mixture into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
  5. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 35 to 40 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Allow to cool before cutting into squares and serving.
