Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground hamburger
  • 1 large chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup chopped celery
  • 1 large can whole mushrooms
  • 1 green bell pepper, minced
  • 8 oz. package macaroni, cooked
  • 1/2 cup grated Cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef, chopped onion, and chopped celery in a skillet. Drain excess fat.
  2. Mix the cooked macaroni, canned whole mushrooms (drained), chopped green bell pepper, and canned tomatoes together.
  3. Combine the cooked meat mixture with the macaroni and vegetable mixture. Let set overnight.
  4. Sprinkle grated Cheddar cheese liberally on top of the mixture.
  5. Bake slowly at 325°F (163°C) for 60 minutes until heated through and cheese is melted and bubbly.
