Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 6 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 3 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 1/2 cup cracker crumbs
  • 8 ounces Cheez Whiz

Instructions

  1. Sauté the finely chopped onion in butter until tender.
  2. Stir in the flour and cook for 1-2 minutes.
  3. Add water gradually, stirring constantly, and cook over low heat until the mixture thickens.
  4. Blend in the Cheez Whiz cheese until smooth.
  5. Combine this sauce with cooked broccoli and slightly beaten eggs.
  6. Pour the mixture into a greased 1 1/2-quart casserole dish.
  7. Cover with cracker crumbs.
  8. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 30 minutes until bubbly and golden.
