Ingredients

  • 1 chopped onion
  • 1/2 chopped green onion
  • 1/4 lb oleo
  • 4 slices cubed bread
  • 1 can Vegeburger
  • 1/2 tsp garlic salt
  • 1/2 lb grated Colby or Cheddar cheese
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 tsp poultry seasoning
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1 Tbsp brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Sauté chopped onion, chopped green onion, and oleo until tender.
  2. Add cubed bread to the sautéed mixture and cook briefly.
  3. Transfer to a large bowl and add Vegeburger, garlic salt, grated cheese, eggs, and poultry seasoning.
  4. Mix well until all ingredients are combined.
  5. In a separate small bowl, mix ketchup with brown sugar and spread in the bottom of the baking pan.
  6. Pour the mixture into the prepared pan over the ketchup-brown sugar layer.
  7. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 45 to 60 minutes until cooked through and golden.
