Killer Brownie combines rich chocolate, caramel, and crunchy pecans in a decadent layered treat perfect for sharing at gatherings or satisfying chocolate cravings.

Ingredients

  • 3 boxes German chocolate cake mix
  • 5 sticks butter
  • 1 large evaporated milk
  • 1 bag Kraft caramels
  • 12 oz. chocolate chips
  • 2 cups chopped pecans

Instructions

  1. Melt the caramels with one third of the evaporated milk until smooth.
  2. Melt the butter with the remaining evaporated milk; add all the cake mix to the milk and butter mixture.
  3. Stir well and fold in the chopped pecans.
  4. Spread one quarter of the batter into each of the two 9x12-inch pans.
  5. Bake at 350°F for 20 minutes.
  6. Remove from oven and let cool for 5 minutes.
  7. Sprinkle half of the chocolate chips over each pan.
  8. Pour half of the caramel over each pan.
  9. Drop the remaining batter over the caramel layer in each pan.
  10. Bake at 350°F for an additional 30 minutes.
  11. Cool for 4 to 5 hours before cutting into squares.
