Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 pound chopped dates
  • 2 cups Rice Krispies
  • 1 cup pecans
  • coconut

Instructions

  1. Melt butter and sugar over low heat.
  2. Add egg, chopped dates, and vanilla; cook for 10 minutes, stirring frequently.
  3. Stir in Rice Krispies and chopped pecans.
  4. Allow mixture to cool enough to handle.
  5. Roll into balls and then roll the balls in coconut to cover them.
