Ingredients

  • 14 oz. can Eagle Brand sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 cup ReaLemon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon grated lemon rind
  • 2/3 cup butter or margarine
  • 1 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 cup quick cooking oats
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Combine sweetened condensed milk, ReaLemon lemon juice, and lemon rind; set aside.
  2. In a large bowl, beat butter and brown sugar until fluffy.
  3. Add flour, oats, baking powder, and salt; mix until crumbly.
  4. Press half of the oat mixture into the bottom of a lightly greased 13 x 9-inch pan.
  5. Spread the lemon mixture over the pressed crust.
  6. Stir cinnamon and nutmeg into the remaining crumb mixture.
  7. Sprinkle the spiced crumb mixture evenly over the lemon layer.
  8. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes.
  9. Cool completely and chill before serving.
  10. Store covered in the refrigerator.
