Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. lean ground beef
  • 2 c. fresh bread crumbs
  • 1/4 c. lemon juice
  • 1/4 c. minced onion
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tsp. seasoned salt
  • 1/2 c. catchup
  • 1/3 c. packed brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. dry mustard
  • 1/4 tsp. allspice
  • 1/4 tsp. ground cloves
  • 6 thin lemon slices

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a 13 x 9-inch baking pan.
  3. In a large bowl, mix together ground beef, bread crumbs, lemon juice, minced onion, egg, and seasoned salt until well combined.
  4. Shape the mixture into 6 individual loaves and place them in the prepared baking pan.
  5. Bake for 15 minutes.
  6. Meanwhile, in a small bowl, combine catchup, brown sugar, dry mustard, allspice, and ground cloves to make the glaze.
  7. Remove the loaves from the oven and spread the glaze over each.
  8. Top each loaf with a thin lemon slice.
  9. Bake an additional 15 minutes or until cooked through.
  10. Serve hot with the lemon slices as garnishes.
