Ingredients

  • 1 lb. lentils
  • 1 large chopped onion
  • 2 or 3 stems chopped celery
  • 2 chopped carrots
  • pepper to taste
  • 2 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 2 large cloves garlic
  • 8 oz. can tomato sauce
  • 1 tsp. sugar

Instructions

  1. Place all ingredients in a suitable size pot with enough water to achieve your desired soup thickness.
  2. Cook at medium heat for about 1 1/2 hours or until the lentils are tender.
