Hearty baked beans with bacon, ground beef, and vegetables, flavored with tomato soup and brown sugar, perfect for family dinners or casual gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 2 cans butter beans
  • 1 can kidney beans
  • 2 cans tomato soup
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 pound bacon
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion
  • 1 green pepper

Instructions

  1. Saute chopped onions and green peppers until tender.
  2. Fry bacon until crispy and cook ground beef until browned.
  3. Drain the butter beans and kidney beans.
  4. Combine all ingredients in a buttered 13 x 9-inch dish or pan.
  5. Stir in tomato soup and sprinkle with brown sugar on top.
  6. Bake uncovered at 350°F (175°C) for 1 hour.
