Ingredients

  • 3 lb. fryer, cut up
  • 1/2 c. green pepper, chopped
  • 1/2 c. onion, chopped
  • 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 1 small can tomato sauce
  • 1 Tbsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. pepper
  • 1/4 c. vinegar
  • 1 (6 oz.) can mushrooms
  • 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  1. Place the cut-up chicken on an open baking dish.
  2. Combine green pepper, onion, brown sugar, tomato sauce, salt, pepper, vinegar, mushrooms, and Worcestershire sauce in a bowl and mix well.
  3. Pour the sauce mixture over the chicken.
  4. Bake uncovered at 350°F for 1 hour and 45 minutes.
  5. Serve the chicken hot over rice.
