Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef (extra lean)
  • 2 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 1 pkg. lasagna noodles
  • 24 oz. Ricotta cheese
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 2 Tbsp. parsley, chopped
  • 16 oz. Mozzarella cheese, thinly sliced
  • 12 oz. Parmesan cheese
  • 24 oz. Italian sauce
  • 2 Tbsp. Italian seasoning

Instructions

  1. Cook lasagna noodles according to package directions and set aside.
  2. Mix ricotta cheese, eggs, salt, pepper, and chopped parsley until well combined.
  3. In a skillet, heat olive oil and cook ground beef until browned; drain excess fat.
  4. Spread a layer of Italian sauce in a baking dish.
  5. Layer lasagna noodles over the sauce.
  6. Spread a portion of the ricotta mixture over the noodles.
  7. Add a layer of cooked ground beef over the ricotta.
  8. Sprinkle with sliced mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese.
  9. Repeat layers until ingredients are used, ending with a top layer of sauce and cheeses.
  10. Sprinkle Italian seasoning on top.
  11. Cover with aluminum foil and bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 30 minutes.
  12. Remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until bubbly and golden.
  13. Let stand for 10 minutes before serving.
