Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup vegetable shortening
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup Ralston Old Fashioned Oats
  • 1 1/2 cups Raisin Bran cereal

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Grease a baking sheet.
  3. Cream butter, shortening, and sugars until light and fluffy.
  4. Mix in eggs and vanilla.
  5. Combine flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
  6. Add to the creamed mixture and blend thoroughly.
  7. Stir in oats and Raisin Bran cereal.
  8. Drop by level tablespoon 2 inches apart onto the prepared baking sheet.
  9. Bake for 11 to 13 minutes or until bottoms are lightly browned.
  10. Let cool for 1 minute before removing from the baking sheet.
