Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 large can fruit cocktail
  • 1 cup butterscotch chips
  • 1/2 cup pecans

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9 x 13-inch pan.
  2. Mix together the flour, soda, salt, and brown sugar in a large bowl.
  3. Add the eggs, softened butter, and undrained fruit cocktail to the dry ingredients.
  4. Beat the mixture for 3 minutes until well combined.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan.
  6. Sprinkle the top with butterscotch chips, chopped pecans, and white sugar.
  7. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
