- Cut margarine into flour until it resembles a pie crust mixture.
- Add nuts and press the mixture into a 9 x 13-inch pan.
- Bake at 350°F for about 30 minutes.
- Set aside to cool.
- In a bowl, blend 1 cup of sugar into the cream cheese which has been softened at room temperature.
- Mix in Cool Whip and beat with an electric mixer until well blended.
- Spread the cream cheese mixture over the cooled crust.
- Combine the instant pudding mix with 3 cups of milk and beat until thick.
- Pour the pudding mixture on top of the cheese layer.
- Chill in the refrigerator for 2 hours before cutting into squares.
