Ingredients

  • 2 lb. ground beef
  • 1 (28 oz.) can tomatoes
  • 1 qt. tomato juice
  • 2 c. chopped onion
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • salt
  • 2 Tbsp. chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp. cumin
  • 1/2 tsp. oregano
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • bay leaf
  • 1 (20 oz.) can kidney beans

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef in a skillet and drain excess fat.
  2. Place the cooked beef in a crock-pot along with all other ingredients except the macaroni.
  3. Cook on low for 8 to 10 hours to develop flavors.
  4. Cook the elbow macaroni separately until al dente.
  5. Add the cooked macaroni to the chili during the last 20 minutes of cooking before serving.
