Tips & Substitutions

For a creamier texture, consider using Ricotta cheese instead of sour cream. You can also add sautéed vegetables like bell peppers or spinach for extra flavor and nutrition. If you prefer a spicier kick, add red pepper flakes to the sauce. This dish can also be made with gluten-free pasta for a suitable alternative.

Serving Suggestions

Macaroni lasagna is delicious on its own but pairs beautifully with a side salad or garlic bread for a complete meal. You might also consider serving it with a light vegetable dish, such as steamed broccoli or roasted asparagus, to balance the richness. For a hearty option, serve alongside Aunt Georgie'S Stew.

Storage & Reheating

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days. To reheat, place in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) until warmed through, about 20-25 minutes. You can also microwave individual portions, but be sure to cover them to prevent drying out.
