Ingredients

  • 1 cup macaroni
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheese
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 (16 oz.) can salmon, drained and flaked
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 slightly beaten eggs

Instructions

  1. Cook macaroni and drain.
  2. Melt butter in a saucepan and stir in flour and salt until smooth.
  3. Gradually stir in milk, cooking until the mixture thickens.
  4. Add a small amount of hot mixture to the slightly beaten eggs, then return the mixture to the saucepan and cook gently.
  5. Add shredded cheese, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, and flaked salmon; mix well.
  6. Pour the mixture into a greased 9-inch pan.
  7. Bake at 375°F for 25 to 30 minutes.
  8. Let stand for 5 minutes before serving.
