Ingredients

  • 2 pkg. chopped spinach
  • 4 Tbsp. oleo
  • 2 Tbsp. chopped onion
  • 2 Tbsp. flour
  • 1 small can evaporated milk
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 3/4 tsp. celery salt
  • 3/4 tsp. garlic salt
  • 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • dash of red pepper
  • 6 oz. roll jalapeno cheese

Instructions

  1. Cook and drain the chopped spinach.
  2. Remove 1/2 cup of the spinach liquid.
  3. In a saucepan, melt the oleo and sauté chopped onion.
  4. Stir in flour and cook for 1-2 minutes.
  5. Gradually add evaporated milk, stirring constantly.
  6. Add pepper, celery salt, garlic salt, Worcestershire sauce, and a dash of red pepper.
  7. Mix in the cooked spinach and the jalapeno cheese, stirring until cheese melts and mixture is heated through.
  8. Pour into a baking dish, top with Fritos, potato chips, or bread crumbs.
  9. Bake at 350°F for about 20 to 25 minutes until bubbly and golden.
