Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup vinegar
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 16 oz. can French-style string beans, drained
  • 16 oz. can English peas, drained
  • 16 oz. can white kernel corn, drained
  • 1 cup chopped onions
  • 1 cup chopped green pepper

Instructions

  1. Mix together in a saucepan sugar, vinegar, oil, water, salt, and pepper.
  2. Bring the mixture to a boil.
  3. Allow the marinade to cool.
  4. Combine the drained string beans, peas, corn, chopped onions, and chopped green peppers in a bowl.
  5. Pour the cooled marinade over the vegetable mixture.
  6. Mix well and refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving.
