Ingredients

  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup catsup and tomato juice mixed
  • 1/4 pound pork sausage
  • 10 cabbage leaves
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 medium onion diced
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup tomato juice

Instructions

  1. Wilt the cabbage leaves in hot water until soft enough to roll.
  2. Combine cooked rice, salt, pepper, diced onion, ground beef, pork sausage, and catsup and tomato juice mixture in a bowl.
  3. Place the meat mixture in the center of each cabbage leaf, then fold and fasten with a toothpick.
  4. Arrange the stuffed cabbage rolls in a baking pan.
  5. Pour tomato juice over the stuffed cabbage.
  6. Bake at 300°F (150°C) for 1 hour and 30 minutes to two hours until cooked through and tender.
