Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground round or ground turkey
  • 1 bag frozen hash brown potatoes
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1 can whole kernel corn
  • 1 can cream of chicken or mushroom soup
  • 1 cup grated cheese
  • pepper to taste
  • salt to taste

Instructions

  1. In a frying pan, brown the ground meat with 3/4 of the chopped onion; drain excess fat.
  2. In a deep baking dish, layer all ingredients except cheese and the remaining onion.
  3. Place hash browns at the bottom, followed by the cooked meat, then corn; pour the soup over the layers.
  4. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 20 minutes.
  5. Remove from oven, sprinkle grated cheese and the remaining onion on top.
  6. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 10 minutes or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
