Ingredients

  • 1 c. real butter
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 c. buttermilk
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1 c. walnuts
  • 1 c. pecans
  • 1 bottle cherries
  • 3 scant c. plain flour
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. blackberry jam
  • 1 c. seedless raisins
  • 1 c. fresh coconut

Instructions

  1. Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  2. Add beaten eggs to the mixture.
  3. Combine soda and buttermilk; add to the batter.
  4. Add walnuts, pecans, cherries, flour, vanilla, jam, raisins, and coconut; mix well.
  5. Divide the batter into three layers in prepared cake pans.
  6. Bake in a preheated oven until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
