- Blend the cream of vegetable soup and water together.
- Measure out 1/4 cup of the soup mixture and combine with ground beef, egg, salt, bread crumbs, chopped onion, parsley, and pepper.
- Shape the mixture into 12 meatballs.
- Brown the meatballs in shortening until cooked through and browned on all sides.
- Add the remaining soup mixture to the meatballs.
- Cover and simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- If the sauce is too thin, remove the cover and cook a few additional minutes to thicken.
