Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground meat
  • 1 cup chopped celery
  • 1/4 cup green pepper (optional)
  • 3/4 cup chopped onion
  • 1 package macaroni
  • 2 Tbsp. bacon fat
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 can tomato soup
  • 1 can mushroom soup
  • 1 cup grated cheese
  • 1/2 cup sour cream

Instructions

  1. Saute or fry the chopped onions until brown.
  2. Add the chopped celery to the onions.
  3. Pour one can of tomato soup over the onion and celery mixture.
  4. Fry the ground meat until done.
  5. Add the cooked meat to the onion, celery, and tomato soup mixture.
  6. Cook one package of macaroni according to package instructions.
  7. Gently turn all cooked ingredients together to mix.
  8. Pour the mushroom soup over the mixture.
  9. Transfer the mixture into a baking dish.
  10. Bake at 325°F (163°C) for 20 minutes.
  11. Fold in the sour cream and sprinkle grated cheese on top.
  12. Bake until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
