Ingredients

  • 4 Tbsp. powdered milk
  • 1 lb. rolled oats
  • 2 oz. sesame seed
  • 2 oz. brown sugar
  • 2 oz. linseed meal
  • 2 oz. chopped walnuts
  • 4 oz. rye flakes
  • 4 Tbsp. honey
  • 4 Tbsp. cooking oil

Instructions

  1. Mix the powdered milk, rolled oats, sesame seed, brown sugar, linseed meal, chopped walnuts, and rye flakes in a large roasting or baking pan; set aside.
  2. In a saucepan, heat together the honey and cooking oil until well combined.
  3. Pour the honey and oil mixture over the cereal mixture and mix well.
  4. Bake in a slow oven at 300°F for 20 minutes or longer, stirring often.
  5. Allow to cool, then add dried fruit such as raisins.
  6. Store in an airtight container to maintain freshness.
