Ingredients

  • 1 lb. hamburger
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 1 can red kidney beans
  • 3 tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 head lettuce
  • 1/4 c. green pepper, chopped
  • 1 small bottle Thousand Island dressing
  • 4 oz. shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1 pkg. Doritos tortilla chips, crushed

Instructions

  1. Brown the hamburger in a skillet.
  2. Add chopped onion and red kidney beans to the browned hamburger and cook until vegetables are tender.
  3. Season the hamburger mixture with taco sauce.
  4. Chop tomatoes and green pepper.
  5. Wash and chop lettuce.
  6. In a large bowl, combine the cooked hamburger mixture, chopped tomatoes, chopped green pepper, lettuce, shredded Cheddar cheese, and crushed Doritos.
  7. Drizzle Thousand Island dressing over the salad and toss gently to combine just before serving.
