- Slice the top off the loaf of bread and hollow out the inside, breaking the removed bread into pieces for dipping.
- Mix together sour cream, cream cheese, chopped mild chili peppers, shredded Cheddar cheese, dried beef, minced onion (if using), garlic powder (if using), and Worcestershire sauce.
- Pour the filling into the hollowed-out bread loaf.
- Replace the sliced top on the loaf and wrap it in foil.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 1 hour.
- Rinse the dried beef to remove excess salt, then dry well before adding to the mixture if not already prepared.
- Optional: add minced onion, garlic powder, and Worcestershire sauce to taste before filling.
