Ingredients

  • 2 tsp. butter or margarine
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1/2 green pepper, chopped
  • 1 small clove garlic, minced
  • 1 lb. ground fresh turkey
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. ground red pepper
  • 1/3 c. bottled barbecue sauce
  • 2 tsp. chili sauce
  • 4 hamburger buns

Instructions

  1. In a medium skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
  2. Add chopped onion, chopped green pepper, and minced garlic.
  3. Saute until onion is translucent.
  4. Crumble in ground turkey and saute for 10 minutes.
  5. Sprinkle with salt, sugar, and ground red pepper.
  6. Stir to mix well.
  7. Stir in barbecue sauce and chili sauce.
  8. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 20 minutes.
  9. Serve on hamburger buns.
