Ingredients

  • 4 cups cornbread crumbs, lightly packed
  • 2 cups bread crumbs, lightly packed
  • 1/2 teaspoon sage
  • 1 teaspoon celery seed
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 cup onion, diced
  • 1/2 cup chopped celery
  • 1 tablespoon margarine
  • 1 (10 1/2 oz.) can cream of celery soup

Instructions

  1. Melt margarine in a skillet.
  2. Cook diced onion and chopped celery until tender.
  3. Mix the cooked vegetables with cornbread crumbs and bread crumbs.
  4. Add sage, celery seed, and pepper to the mixture.
  5. Pour cream of celery soup over the mixture and stir well.
  6. Gradually add chicken broth until the mixture reaches desired moistness.
  7. Spread the mixture into a baking pan.
  8. Bake at 350°F for 30 minutes, or stuff into a turkey and roast.
