Mom'S Bean Casserole
A hearty baked bean casserole combining savory ground sirloin, crispy bacon, and flavorful baked beans, topped with a tangy mustard and ketchup glaze for comforting family dinners.
Ingredients
- 1 lb. ground sirloin ⓘ
- 1 lb. bacon, diced ⓘ
- 1 small red onion, diced ⓘ
- 4 Tbsp. dry mustard ⓘ
- 1/2 box dark brown sugar
- 5 heaping Tbsp. ketchup ⓘ
- Vinegar ⓘ
- 2 (64 oz.) cans B & M baked beans ⓘ
- 1 (30 oz.) can kidney beans
- 2 (30 oz.) cans pork and beans (remove fat cubes) ⓘ
- 2 (30 oz.) cans butter beans ⓘ
Instructions
- Saute onion, bacon, and sirloin together; drain well.
- In a large pan, mix the meat mixture with the beans and mustard.
- Sprinkle sugar and ketchup on top, then mix the entire casserole.
- Just prior to baking, sprinkle vinegar lightly over the top of the mixture.
- Bake at 325°F (160°C) for approximately 1 hour.
