A hearty baked bean casserole combining savory ground sirloin, crispy bacon, and flavorful baked beans, topped with a tangy mustard and ketchup glaze for comforting family dinners.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground sirloin
  • 1 lb. bacon, diced
  • 1 small red onion, diced
  • 4 Tbsp. dry mustard
  • 1/2 box dark brown sugar
  • 5 heaping Tbsp. ketchup
  • Vinegar
  • 2 (64 oz.) cans B & M baked beans
  • 1 (30 oz.) can kidney beans
  • 2 (30 oz.) cans pork and beans (remove fat cubes)
  • 2 (30 oz.) cans butter beans

Instructions

  1. Saute onion, bacon, and sirloin together; drain well.
  2. In a large pan, mix the meat mixture with the beans and mustard.
  3. Sprinkle sugar and ketchup on top, then mix the entire casserole.
  4. Just prior to baking, sprinkle vinegar lightly over the top of the mixture.
  5. Bake at 325°F (160°C) for approximately 1 hour.
