Ingredients

  • 4 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1 cup water
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/3 cup wheat germ
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup sesame seed
  • 1/4 cup molasses
  • 3 tablespoons nonfat powdered milk
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt

Instructions

  1. Mix all ingredients until smooth.
  2. Pour into a well-greased 8 x 8 x 2-inch baking pan.
  3. Bake in a preheated 300°F (150°C) oven for 1 hour or until the bread starts to pull away from the sides of the pan.
  4. Cut into squares and let stand uncovered overnight to dry slightly.
  5. Seal in a plastic bag or wrap for storage.
