A hearty deep-dish breakfast casserole combining sausage, eggs, cheese, and mushrooms, perfect for nourishing mornings and served with hot biscuits for a satisfying start.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. pork sausage
  • 12 large eggs
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. pepper
  • 2 Tbsp. milk
  • 1 lb. grated medium Cheddar cheese
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup

Instructions

  1. Crumble, fry, and drain the sausage.
  2. Scramble the eggs with salt, pepper, and milk.
  3. Add grated Cheddar cheese and cream of mushroom soup to the egg mixture.
  4. Place the cooked sausage in the bottom of a 3-quart baking dish.
  5. Pour the egg mixture over the sausage.
  6. Bake at 325°F for 30 minutes.
  7. Allow to set a few minutes before serving with hot biscuits.
