Ingredients

  • 1 lb mozzarella cheese
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups dried bread crumbs

Instructions

  1. Cut mozzarella into 1 1/2-inch cubes.
  2. Mix flour, paprika, salt, and pepper in a shallow dish.
  3. Put eggs into a second dish and bread crumbs into a third dish.
  4. Lightly coat cheese cubes in seasoned flour.
  5. Dip coated cheese cubes into eggs, then into bread crumbs to coat evenly.
  6. Repeat the coating process once more with eggs and bread crumbs.
  7. Preheat oil to 350°F (175°C).
  8. Fry the cheese cubes about 2 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Use a slotted spoon to transfer the fritters to paper towels to drain.
  10. Serve hot.
