Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb. fresh mushrooms, finely chopped
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • dash of pepper
  • dash of ground nutmeg
  • 1 tsp. lemon juice
  • 2 tsp. flour
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 tsp. dill weed
  • 1 recipe Cream Cheese Pastry

Instructions

  1. Saute mushrooms in butter with the chopped onion until limp.
  2. Add salt, pepper, ground nutmeg, and lemon juice.
  3. Blend in flour until smooth and slightly thickened.
  4. Stir in sour cream and dill weed.
  5. Cool the filling.
  6. Place a small amount of filling (scant teaspoon) on one side of a 2-inch pastry round.
  7. Fold over and crimp edges with fork tines.
  8. Bake in a preheated 350°F oven for 20 to 25 minutes.
