Ingredients

  • 8 c. torn lettuce
  • 1 c. sliced fresh mushrooms
  • 2 Tbsp. Canola oil
  • 1 lb. pkg. breakfast steak, sliced into 1/4-inch wide fingers, 2-inches long
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 1 c. chopped green pepper
  • 2 chopped fresh tomatoes

Instructions

  1. Heat canola oil in a deep skillet or wok until very hot.
  2. Add sliced steak and sauté until tender, seasoning with salt and pepper to taste. Drain and let cool slightly.
  3. Toss torn lettuce, sliced mushrooms, chopped onion, chopped green pepper, and chopped tomatoes in a large bowl.
  4. Add the cooked steak to the vegetables and toss with your preferred salad dressing.
  5. Serve immediately in bowls, optionally accompanied by hot rolls or Italian bread sticks.
  6. Complete the meal with dessert.
